Andrew Baggarly of the San Jose Mercury News says pitcher Joe Martinez is another option.
6/8 15:34: Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports that Giants Minor League pitcher Madison Bumgarner “came unglued” after center fielder Eugenio Valez dropped a pop fly that should have been caught. He later had a problem with the umpires. Here’s the report from an eyewitness:
“Then he got into a beef with the first base umpire over a close play while covering first. Then got into a beef with the second base umpire over a pickoff play at second (in the seventh inning). The second base umpire tossed him after he lost his cool. He had to be physically restrained from the umpire by his teammates.”
