Rumors for Outrighted to Minors

Indians’ Jered Goedert has cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A according to Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com. Goedert was designated for assignment last week.

The 26-year old was hitting .196/.261/.331 with 4 HR’s and 13 RBI’sin 151 AB’s for the Indians’ Triple-A team this year.

Catcher Jose Yepez has cleared waivers and has been outrihted to Triple-A Tacoma according to Geoff Baker of the Seattle Times.

Yepez was designated for assignment by the Mariners last week. The 30-year old catcher was hitting .276/.324/.347 at Triple-A Tacoma in 28 games.

The Philadelphia Phillies have outrighted short stop Brian Bocock to Triple-A Lehigh Valley according to Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly.com. The team’s 40-man roster is now at 39.

Bocock last played in the Majors in 2010 with the Phillies. This year he’s hitting .222/.267/.299 with 3 HR’s and 23 RBI’s in 194 AB’s between Double-A and Triple-A.

The Florida Marlins outrighted Brad Davis to Triple-A New Orleans according to the team’s official Twitter account. This movement will create room on the 40-man roster for Jose Lopez.

The Marlins signed Lopez earlier this month after he was released by the Colorado Rockies. He is a career .264 hitter, who in 2009 had a career year with 25 home runs with 96 RBIs while hitting .272.

Davis was hitting .212/.294/.303 with 2 HR’s and 20 RBI’s in 165 AB’s for the Marlins’ Triple-A team.

According to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com, Milwaukee Brewers’ backup catcher, Wil Nieves, was outrighted to Triple-A Nashville.  In his place the team selected George Kottaras‘ contract.

The 33-year-old Nieves was hitting .140/.189/.180 with 3 home runs and 16 RBIs in 20 games for the Brewers this season.

The Detroit Tigers have outrighted right handed pitcher Enrique Gonzalez to Triple-A Toledo according to the team official Twitter account. The move will create room for Magglio Ordonez who will be activated from the Disabled List on Monday.

Gonzalez has a 10.00 ERA in 9.0 innings for the Tigers this season. Last season, he was 0-1 with a 3.81 ERA in 26 innings throughout 18 games with the Tigers.

In an post on the Oakland Athletic’s Twitter Account, they announced that they have outrighted Kevin Kouzmanoff to Triple-A Sacramento. In parallel moves, the team also selected Graham Godfrey and optioned Bobby Cramer to Triple-A.

In 46 games for the Athletics this season, the 29-year-old Kouzmanoff hit .221/.262/.353 with four home runs and 17 RBIs.

The Milwaukee Brewers have outrighted utility-man Erick Almonte according to Tom Haudricourt of the Journal Sentinel. Almonte has accepted his assignment instead of becoming a free agent adds Enrique Rojas of ESPNDeportes.com.

Almonte was hitting .103/.103/.207 with 1 HR and 3 RBI’s in 29 AB’s for the Brewers this season. Back in April, Almonte became the first MLB player to be placed Major Leaguer to be placed on the seven-day Disabled List for concussions.

Infielder Dallas McPherson has cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Triple-A Charlotte, reports Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune.

The White Sox designated McPherson for assignment earlier this week. The infielder was hitting .133/.133/.133 in 15 AB’s with the White Sox this season.

In a Tweet by Jason Beck of MLB.com, he reports that Detroit Tigers’ right-handed pitcher Robbie Weinhardt has cleared waivers and is being outrighted to Triple-A.  He was previously designated for assignment by the team on May 24.

In two appearances this year with the big league club, the reliever pitched in 1 2/3 innings and gave up four hits and two earned runs for an ERA of 10.80.

The team needed to create room on the 40-man roster for Adam Wilk who was then added to the 25-man roster in Phil Coke’s place.
