The Toronto Blue Jays have claimed catcher Brian Jeroloman from the Pittsburgh Pirates, according to a team press release. Pittsburgh designated the 26-year-old on November 21st, only a few days after they claimed him off waivers from the San Francisco Giants.

Orioles claim Darren O’Day off waivers

The Baltimore Orioles have claimed right handed pitcher Darren O’Day off waivers from the Texas Rangers according to Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com.
O’Day was 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA in 16.2 innings with the Rangers in 2011.

According to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle, the Oakland Athletics have claimed right handed pitcher Evan Scribner and outfielder Cedric Hunter off waivers from the San Diego Padres. She adds that right handed pitcher Michael Wuertz was released to make room on the 40-man roster.
Wuertz pitched only 33.2 innings this year for the Athletics and had a 6.68 ERA.
Scribner had a 7.07 ERA in 14 innings and Hunter hit .250/.400/.250 in 4 AB’s for for the Padres in 2011.

Blue Jays claim Jesse Chavez off waivers
Posted by: | CommentsThe Toronto Blue Jays have claimed right handed pitcher Jesse Chavez off waivers from the Kansas City Royals according to the team official Twitter account.
Chavez was designated for assignment by the Royals earlier this month. The right hander had a 10.57 ERA in 7.2 innings with the Royals in 2011.

Rockies claim Andrew Brown from Cardinals

In an announcement by the Colorado Rockies on their Twitter account, the team has claimed infielder/outfielder Andrew Brown off of waivers from the St. Louis Cardinals.
Brown, 27, hit .284 with 20 home runs and 73 RBIs while he was with Triple-A Memphis. Additionally, he was named a Pacific Coast League All Star last season.

Royals claim LHP Aaron Laffey and DFA Jesse Chavez

The Kansas City Royals have announced that they have claimed left-handed pitcher Aaron Laffey off of outright waivers from the New York Yankees. To make room on the 40-man roster for Laffey, the team designated Jesse Chavez.

Minnesota Twins claim RHP Esmerling Vasquez

In an announcement by the team, the Minnesota Twins have claimed right-handed pitcher Esmerling Vasquez off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Vaquez was 1-1 with a 4.15 ERA in 31 relief appearances for the D-Backs this season. In order to make room on the 40-man roster the Twins transferred infielder Alexi Casilla to the 60-day disabled list.

Pittsburgh Pirates claim Matt Pagnozzi

The Pittsburgh Pirates have announced that they have claimed catcher Matt Pagnozzi off of waivers from the Colorado Rockies.
The Rockies designated Pagnozzi for assignment on September 11, 2011 to create a space on the 40-man roster when the team selected the contracts of Thomas Field and Drew Pomeranz.

The Houston Astros have claimed Lance Pendleton from the New York Yankees, Zachary Levine of the Houston Chronicle reports via Twitter.
The Yankees designated Pendleton for assignment on September 6.

Indians claim Jason Rice off waivers

The Cleveland Indians have claimed Jason Rice off waivers from the Oakland Athletics, according to a Tweet by Susan Slusser of The San Francisco Chronicle.
The 25-year-old Rice was originally an 11th-round pick by the Chicago White Sox in the 2005 MLB Amateur Draft. He has a career 26-31 record with a 3.91 ERA in 256 appearances (48 starts).
