Seth Smith drawing trade interest from several clubs
By
Colorado Rockies outfielder Seth Smith is drawing trade interest from several clubs, GM Dan O’Down said, as reported by Thomas Harding of MLB.com.
“Seth is very, very well-liked within the game,” O’Dowd said. “I’m not sure we’re going to do anything, but we’ve had a lot of calls on Seth.”
Smith is projected to make about $2.6 million in 2012 as an arbitration-eligible player and with the Rockies looking to add young-but-experienced pitchers, Smith may be sacrificed by the team.
