The San Diego Padres have acquired closer Huston Street from the Colorado Rockies for a player to be named later according to Danny Knobler of CBSSports. Street is owed $7.5 million for 2012 with a $500,000 buyout, and the Rockies will eat the reminder of his contract adds Knobler.
Yesterday, we learned that the Rockies were actively shopping Street, and that they were willing to eat the reminder of his contract in exchange of prospects.
Street was 1-4 with a 3.86 ERA with 29 saves in 58.1 innings with the Rockies in 2011.
