Colorado Rockies outfielder Seth Smith is drawing trade interest from several clubs, GM Dan O’Down said, as reported by Thomas Harding of MLB.com.
“Seth is very, very well-liked within the game,” O’Dowd said. “I’m not sure we’re going to do anything, but we’ve had a lot of calls on Seth.”
Smith is projected to make about $2.6 million in 2012 as an arbitration-eligible player and with the Rockies looking to add young-but-experienced pitchers, Smith may be sacrificed by the team.

C.J. Wilson has received offers from four clubs
Posted by: | Comments
C.J. Wilson is one of the top free agent arms on the market. Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports notes that Wilson has received offers four teams which include the very active Marlins and Angels, as well as two other unnamed clubs. Two other clubs that have shown interest in the LHP over the previous weeks include the Red Sox and Rangers.
The Angels offer though may not be enough as it is rumored that it may be less than the deal Jered Weaver singed during the season, five-year $85mm.
Morosi also adds that even with the signing of Jose Reyes and Heath Bell, the Marlins still have an offer on the table for Wilson.
