Athletics willing to trade Andrew Bailey

By juan

According to Danny Knobler of CBSSports, the Oakland Athletics are “very willing” to trade closer Andrew Bailey. He says that although the A’s are willing to trade anyone, Bailey is probably at the top of their list.

Knobler adds that the Blue Jays have inquired about him and Buster Olney of ESPN says the Reds and the A’s are talking about a possible deal involving Bailey. A source close to Jim Bowden of ESPN says that the A’s are interested in Yonder Alonso as part of any potential deal.

Bailey was 0-4 with a 3.24 ERA and 24 saves in 41.2 innings for the A’s in 2011.
