The New York Yankees have exercised the 2012 options for Robinson Cano and Nick Swisher, according to a team press release.

“This is my favorite thing to do in the world and my favorite place to do it,” Swisher told the New York Daily News. “To have another year in pinstripes, I couldn’t be happier.”

Swisher has a $10.25 million option while Cano’s option is worth $14 million.  The team does not have any other options to consider.
