Marlins designate Alfredo Amezaga for assignment

The Marlins have designated Alfredo Amezaga for assignment, reports Joe Capozzi of the Palm Beach Post.
In 44 at bats with the Marlins, the 33 year-old was hitting just .136.
The Marlins acquired Amezaga in early August from the Rockies in exchange for minor league infielder Jesus Merchan.
