The Washington Nationals have traded right handed pitcher Jason Marquis to the Arizona Diamondbacks according to Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports. Earlier today we learned that both clubs were close to an agreement regarding Marquis.
Jim Bowden of ESPN says that the Diamondbacks will send short stop Zach Walters to the Nationals. The Diamondbacks will pay all of the $2.47 million owed to Marquis.
Marquis is 8-5 with a 6.60 ERA in 120 innings throughout 20 starts with the Nationals in 2011.
