Kerry Wood unlikely to waive his no-trade clause

Even though the Chicago Cubs will be sellers at the deadline, their closer, Kerry Wood, may not part of the group that will be traded. Wood could help any contending bullpen is apparently not willing to waive his no-trade clause Jon Heyman of Sports Illustrated reports.
He adds that Wood will probably resign with Cubs. Earlier this week, we learned that the right hander could be a possibility for the Diamondbacks who are fighting the Giants in the NL West and are looking to strengthen their bullpen. The 34-year old veteran is 1-5 with a 3.56 ERA in 32 appearances this year.
