According to a team announcement, the Chicago White Sox have designated right handed pitcher Jeff Marquez for assignment.

Marquez debuted in the Majors in 2010 with the White Sox. He pitched one inning and had a 18.00 ERA. This season, he was 3-4 with a 3.97 ERA in 47.2 innings throughout nine starts for the White Sox’s Triple-A team.
