The Washington Nationals have named John McLaren as the team’s interim manager reports Ben Goessling of MASNSports.com. McLaren will serve as a “short-term” manager until the Nationals find an interim manager for the reminder of the season adds Mark Zuckerman of CSNWashington.
Earlier today, Nationals manager, Jim Riggleman resigned after the game against the Mariners. He became upset as Mike Rizzo recently received a five-year extension and felt that the team should of at least picked up his option.
