According to Tim Hagerty, broadcaster of the Triple-A Tucson Padres, infielder Alex Cintron has retired.
In his nine year Major League career (last in 2009), Cintron played with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago White Sox, Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals. He’s a lifetime .275/.313/.394 hitter. He signed a Minor League deal with the Padres on May 3.
