The Oakland Athletics have designated left handed pitcher Jerry Blevins for assignment according to the team official Twitter account. Blevins though, will remain on the 40-man roster.

The team also recalled left handed pitcher Josh Outman. Outman last pitched in the Majors in 2009 with the A’s, that season he was 4-1 with a 3.48 ERA in 67.2 innings throughout 14 games, 12 starts. Blevins had a 4.61 ERA in 13.2 innings this season with the A’s.
