According to El Nuevo Herald (via Jorge Ebro), the Chicago White Sox and Alexei Ramirez have agreed to a new contract worth $32.5 million over four-years with a fifth-year club option for $10 million.
The White Sox had previously exercised Ramirez’s club option for 2011 in early December.
The 2010 Silver Slugger award winner likely used Juan Uribe’s three-year, $21 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers as a benchmark for his new deal.
