The New York Mets have officially announced R.A. Dickey’s deal according to Adam Rubin of ESPNNewYork.com. Dickey has passed his physical today to complete the two-year, $7.8 million deal with the team.
Andy McCullough of The Star-Ledger reports that Dickey has a $1 million signing bonus and will make $2.25 million in 2011, $4.25 million in 2012. He also has a team option for $5 million in 2013 with a $300,000 buyout.
The sides agreed to a two-year deal on January 28, as first reported by Rubin.
