According to the Oakland Athletics official Twitter account, the team has traded right-handed pitcher Clayton Mortensen to the Colorado Rockies for Minor League right-handed pitcher Ethan Hollingsworth.

Mortensen pitched six innings in one start with the Athletics in 2010. He had a 4.50 ERA. The right-hander was designated for assignment by the A’s on January 18.

The 23-year-old Hollingsworth has spent three seasons in the Colorado Minor League system.  The pitcher has a lifetime 24-24 record with a 4.33 ERA over 376 innings pitched in 68 appearances (65 starts).
