According to MLB.com’s Jordan Bastian, the Cleveland Indians have officially signed outfielder Travis Buck to a split contract. Bastian first reported the Minor League deal on December 20. He adds that the deal will include an invitation to the team’s Major League Spring Training and he will make $625,000 if he is on the Major League roster.
In four seasons with the Oakland A’s, he hit .250/.330/.424 in 170 Major League games. He played 14 games in the big leagues last year – splitting time between left and right field.
