By Allan

The Chicago Tribune’s Phil Rogers says that now that the St. Louis Cardinals’ coaching staff is in place with manager Tony La Russa, pitching coach Dave Duncan and batting coach Mark McGwire, the team is looking to upgrade their infield. The team now has Miguel Tejada on their radar. The addition of Tejada will improve them team at shortstop and third base.

Tejada was acquired in late-July by the San Diego Padres from the Baltimore Orioles for Wynn Pelzer and cash. The 36-year-old is eligible to become a free-agent after the World Series. He hit .269/.312/.381 in 156 between the Padres and Orioles in 2010.
