In early September, San Francisco Giants’ Aubrey Huff started to wear a red thong to break out of a hitting slump and get the team charged for a playoff run.

“This is a team thing,” Huff said at the time. “When I broke it out (Tuesday), we had 30 games left. I said, `Guys, here’s 20 wins right here.’”

The San Jose Mercury News’ Andrew Baggarly confirmed that the Giants went exactly 20-10 since Huff made his sexy garment prediction.

Huff also mentioned that if it works the team will sell more thongs than Panda hats (referring to Pablo Sandoval souvenirs). No word from the Giants’ marketing department yet.
