VIDEO: Chipper Jones could face suspension for ejection while on DL
ByOn Saturday, injured Atlanta’s third baseman, Chipper Jones, was ejected from the Braves-Marlins for complaining about home-plate umpire Doug Eddings’ strike zone. David O’Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution says that Jones could be suspended for one-game when he returns from the disabled list (likely Opening Day 2011). O’Brien says, “A player ejected from a game while on DL’d usually faces a one-game suspension upon returning from the DL.” Jones is out for the year with a torn ACL.
