Television baseball announcer, Joe Buck, denies any rumors that he had anything to do with the batting practice injury that Alex Rodriguez sustained from a Lance Berkman line drive.

Accordingto Michael Hiestand of USA Today, Rodriguez was practicing fielding near third base as Buck passed by two hours before game time.

Buck says Rodriguez “looks out of the corner of his eye, says ‘Hey, Joe.’ I kept walking, put my arm up to acknowledge it, but kept walking. Didn’t even say hi. … For him it was a ‘hey,’ a turn of the head, literally half a second. And I didn’t initiate it.”

Luckily for Rodriguez, the injury did not break any bones. He returned to action on Sunday.
