Update – Texas Rangers and RHP Luke Jackson have agreed to contract

8/16 19:24: Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram says Jackson signed for $1.545 million.

8/15 19:49: Keith Law of ESPN says the deal between the Rangers and Jackson is done. The deal will be announced on Monday.

8/12 14:35: Texas Rangers GM Josh Daniels confirms with Jeff Wilson of the Ford Worth Star-Telegram that the team and Jackson have not agreed to a deal.

8/12 11:42: Supplemental first-round pick Luke Jackson from Calvary Christian High in Fort Lauderdale, Florida agreed with to a $1.557 million bonus with the Texas Rangers, according to Jim Callis of Baseball America. The recommended bonus for his slot (No. 45) is $764,100.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound right-handed pitcher has a fastball that sits at 90-94 mph and reaches 96.
