St. Louis Cardinals Broadcaster Dan McLaughlin arrested for drunk driving

11-year play-by-play veteran for the St. Louis Cardinals television broadcasts and the primary play-by-play guy for Cardinals’ Fox Sports Midwest telecasts, Dan McLaughlin, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, according to police (via Christine Byers of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch).
McLaughlin was arrested on Monday night about 10:45 pm on Highway 40 after an officer responded to a report of an erratic driver. McLaughlin refused to take a breathalyzer test and was arrested. He was booked at Chesterfield police headquarters and la ter released.
Cardinals vice president Dan Farrell, who oversees the club’s broadcasting operations, and Fox Sports Midwest spokesman Geoff Goldman also declined comment.
A hearing has been set for October 6 for McLaughlin’s case.
