According to the MLB.com transaction page, the Los Angeles Dodgers have released left fielder Garret Anderson. The Dodgers designated the veteran outfielder for assignment on Sunday.
After spending his first 15 years in the Los Angeles Angels organization, Anderson played one year for the Atlanta Braves in 2009. It’s likely that Anderson may retire.
In 80 games this season, the outfielder hit .181/.204/.271 with 2 home runs and 12 RBIs.
