According to the Los Angeles Dodgers official Twitter feed, the team has designated veteran Garret Anderson for assignment.
After spending his first 15 years in the Los Angeles Angels organization, Anderson played one year for the Atlanta Braves in 2009. It’s likely that Anderson may retire if the Dodgers do not trade him within the next 10 days.
In 80 games this season, the outfielder hit .181/.204/.271 with 2 home runs and 12 RBIs.
