Los Angeles Angels may not be done dealing – Trades in August possible

By Allan

Dan Woike of The Orange County Register said that despite the Los Angeles Angels not making a move yesterday, it doesn’t necessarily mean the team wasn’t active. He says that it’s still possible that the Angels may make a move in August.

“You never know what the Angels are going to do,” Torii Hunter said. “They’re like ninjas. They come in through the night with shooting stars.”

General manager Tony Reagins said the team received calls about veteran players, but “those didn’t make sense for us with what we want to accomplish.”

Reagins did says the Angels were close to making some other trades before the deadline passed on Saturday.

Woike points out that the Angels acquired Scott Kazmir after the non-waiver trade deadline passed last season.

“We’re still optimistic,” Reagins said.
