According to the International League Transaction’s web page, the Atlanta Braves have released outfielder Willy Taveras from their Triple-A affiliate. He was signed by the Braves in early July.

Taveras has been with a number of organization this season.  He was with the Cincinnati Reds last season, then was traded to the Oakland Athletics last winter. Oakland released the outfielder before Spring Training and he quickly signed with the Washington Nationals. The Nationals released Taveras in mid-May. He was signed by the Phillies in June, but was eventually released.

Taveras, 28, was hitting .200/.243/.257 in 27 games with the Nationals this season.
