Alex Rodriguez misses New York Yankees team photo – expects to be fined

Maybe he forgot. Maybe he did it on purpose. According to Brian Costello of the New York Post, Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees missed the team photo, and he’ll be paying for it in Kangaroo Court – a baseball team’s traditional judicial system where players are fined by their peers.
The Yankees had their team photo taken on Tuesday at 3:45, but Rodriguez did not show up to the clubhouse until 4:15. He said he forgot to check the message board before he left the stadium last night. The team had a stand-in for him, and Rodriguez will be digitally added later.
“Captain Kangaroo will probably get Alex for this one,” manager Joe Girardi said. “Players aren’t always the best at reading memos put on their chairs.”
It was put on his chair for goodness sake! It was likely announced several times over the past few weeks to the clubhouse.
“I’m going to try to delay kangaroo court as much as possible because I know I’m going to get crushed,” Rodriguez said. ”The boys are going to get me good. No excuse. I know one of our front office guys had to play Alex Rodriguez for a couple of minutes. I have to find that guy and shake his hand because it must have been a tough situation.”
