Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports says Washington Nationals GM Mike Rizzo has been “hit pretty hard” regarding 5-6 players in trade discussions. He names Adam Dunn, Josh Willingham, Cristian Guzman, Adam Kennedy and Matt Capps as trade candidates.

Guzman and Kennedy could help teams that are in need of infield help such as the Philadelphia Phillies.

Capps could help teams with worn out bullpen. He’s been 22 for 26 in save opportunities this year. Rosenthal suggests that Nationals trade Capps while he’s at peak value. The Nats could then get by with Tyler Clippard and Drew Storen closing out the late innings.
