Washington Nationals looking to acquire Diamondbacks Edwin Jackson with help from the White Sox?

By Allan

Looks like there may be a three-team trade in the works between the Washington Nationals, Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago White Sox. Yesterday, Jayson Stark of ESPN first brought up the possibility of such a trade.

According to a source close to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports the Nationals are trying to acquire the necessary starting pitcher to trade to the Diamondbacks in order to get starting pitcher Edwin Jackson. It’s likely the Nats will acquire this pitcher through a trade of Adam Dunn.

The White Sox have aggressively been trying to acquire Dunn from the Nationals, and if they do it will likely require a trade of right-handed pitcher Dan Hudson. Rosenthal says that the Nats could send Hudson or one of their own pitcher to the Dbacks for Jackson.
