According to the Seattle Mariners’ Twitter account, the team has signed right-handed pitcher Jamey Wright. He will join the big league team in Anaheim today.

Wright was released by the Cleveland Indians in early June and was signed by the Oakland Athletics soon after. The right-hander was 1-2 with a 5.48 ERA in 18 appearances this year for the Indians.  Opponents were hitting .294 against him.

In another move, right-handed pitcher Chad Cordero rejected an option to Triple-A Tacoma and became a free agent.
