San Diego Padres looking for durable starting pitching and a bat
ByKen Rosenthal of FOXSports says the San Diego Padres may eventually have to shutdown Mat Latos, and the rest of their rotation is inexperienced to take them into the playoffs so the team is in search of durable starting pitching.
The Padres also need a bat, but according to Rosenthal, “their offense is so weak that fear their lack of starting pitching may derail them faster than a lack of hitting.” The team understands that starting pitching is tough to find, but Rosenthal suggests that they could go after Arizona Diamondbacks right-handed starter, Edwin Jackson.
