According to Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the Pittsburgh Pirates have re-acquired infielder Brian Bixler from the Cleveland Indians for a player to be named later.
Bixler was originally acquired by the Indians on January 18 in exchange for third baseman Jesus Brito.
Bixler, 29, has not played in the big leagues this season, but he has a lifetime .178/.238/.237 in 68 career games with the Pirates.
