Oakland Athletics sign RHP Boof Bonser to Minor League deal

According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports, the Oakland Athletics have signed right-handed pitcher Boof Bonser to a Minor League contract. He will go to Triple-A Sacramento and start there.

Bonser, 28, was designated for assignment by the Red Sox in June and after he cleared waivers he chose to become a free agent. He made two appearances for the Red Sox, allowing four earned runs in two innings of work this season.
