Update – New York Yankees Rumors: Not done shopping yet – looking for better bat and bullpen
By7/30 07:58: According to Ken Rosenthal the Yankees will take one last run through the thin bullpen market while trying to add a bench piece.
7/30 19:15: So the Yankees have already acquired Lance Berkman and Austin Kearns, but it looks like they are not done yet. Joel Sherman tweets, “#Yankees believe they are out on pitching, both start and relief. Focusing on better bat than Ramiro Pena to be A-Rod’s 3B backup”
7/30 16:07: We’re less than 24 hours until the 1pm PST July 31 non-waiver Trade Deadline, but the New York Yankees have plenty of work to do. Buster Olney of ESPN says the Yankees continue to work on other deals, and expect to make at least one and maybe two more acquisitions.
Jack Curry of the YES Network says “don’t be surprised if the Yankees add another piece for bench or bullpen or both.”
