According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports, the New York Mets have reached an agreement with reliever Chad Cordero on a Minor League contract. The deal will be completed today.

Cordero was withe Seattle Mariners this season, and was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on July 15. Because of his service time, he was able to reject the option and become a free agent. The 28-year-old was 0-1 with a 6.52 EAR in 9 appearances for the Mariners in 2010.
