Tom Haudricourt of the Journal Sentinel says that he spoke with Milwaukee Brewers general manager Doug Melvin and he said that they will not be changing managers on Wednesday.

“I’m not a big believe in interim managers,” said Melvin. “If things get to the point where you see no fight in the players, that’s different.

There had been speculation that the Brewers would change managers before the second half of the season and fire Ken Macha.

The Brewers were swept in a four-game series by the San Francisco Giants last week, but came back and swept the Pittsburgh Pirates in a three-game series. That sweep may have saved Macha’s job.
