7/21 10:07: According to Joe Capozzi of The Palm Beach Post, the Florida Marlins have designated Nate Robertson for assignment.
Robertson, 32, was 6-7 with a 5.10 ERA in 18 appearances (17 starts) for the Marlins this season. He was acquired by the Marlins in a trade with the Detroit Tigers this spring. The Tigers would pay $9.6 million of the remaining $10 million on Robertson’s deal while the Marlins were only responsible for the MLB minimum.
