Chicago White Sox going after Roy Oswalt?
By
According to Jon Heyman of Sports Illustrated, he says the Chicago White Sox are considering Houston Astros’ pitcher Roy Oswalt, but they are leery of a switch from the National League to the American League.
The big obstacle involving any deal with Oswalt is his salary requirements. Most teams will inherit most of the $7 million he’s due for this year in addition to his $16 million owed to him in 2011 and the $2 million buyout for his 2012 team option. The amount the team is responsible for depends on what kind of prospect package they would send to the Astros.
