According to Peter Abraham of the Boston Globe, various reports indicate the Boston Red Sox have acquired infielder Jack Hannahan from Seattle Mariners for a player to named later or cash.
Abraham thinks that Hannahan will be headed to Triple-A Pawtucket. He has spent his entire season with Triple-A Tacoma, hitting .228.
In 4 Major League seasons, Hannahan has hit .226/.314/.352. His best season was with the Oakland A’s in 2008 when he hit 9 home runs and drove in 47 RBIS while playing in 143 games.
