Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports says some officials of the Atlanta Braves like Corey Hart of the Milwaukee Brewers, and other officials see Hart as a slightly better version of Jeff Francoeur.

If Matt Diaz starts to hit and Nate McLouth recovers from concussion-like symptom, the Braves may not need Hart. However, if the Braves decide that they want to pursue the outfielder, it will be at their price.

The San Francisco Giants were thought to be the leading contender for Hart.  There was a supposed deal for Hart and Giants’ left-handed pitcher Jonathan Sanchez before the All-Star Break, but the trigger wasn’t pulled.
