Are the New York Yankees after Florida Marlins Cody Ross and Leo Nunez?

By Allan

Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports says the New York Yankees could be a good fit for Cody Ross and Leo Nunez of the Florida Marlins. Current Yankees’ manager Joe Girardi gave Ross his first real chance when Girardi was the manager of the Marlins. The problem is that Ross is a regular with the Marlins, and the Yankees may not want to meet Florida’s price for a player they plan to use part time.

Nunez would be a good fit as a setup man for the Yankees. However, relievers are volatile and the Marlins would want a lot in return because Nunez is under club control through the 2012 season.

Earlier today, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com said the Yankees had scouts in Miami.
