Patrick Daneker, 34, a married pitching coach for the Staten Island Yankees, lost his 2009 World Series ring and two cell phones as he “messed around” with two prostitutes in a Tampa motel room.
According to Tim Perone of the New York Post, Daneker, 34, was at the Blue Martini Bar on Sunday where he met two young ladies wearing “short mini-skirts”. Daneker and the ladies headed back to his room at the Holiday Inn Express around 3 am.
After an hour, Daneker told the Holiday Inn clerk that he had been robbed. He told authorities that he was “extremely intoxicated” and he had a “lapse in memory”.
Daneker and his wife Bree Maddocks refused to speak with the Post.
The women took the World Series ring, valued at $10,000, two cell phones and $120 in cash. The Tampa police are searching for the women.
Daneker, pitched in 3 games (2 games started) with the White Sox in 1999. In his 15 total innings, he had a 4.20 ERA and a WHIP of 1.333.
