First off, the PRO Rumors team would like to thank all of our readers for being with us each and everyday. We love the emails, we love the feedback, we love the comments and we love you. =)

We’ve had a few changes in the last few weeks and I’d like to address them here:

Yardbarker
Yardbarker has been so kind to let us join their awesome network. Through Yardbarker, we have been featured through their network, on their homepage and on FOXSports.com. PRO Rumors iPhone app version 3.50:
We released the iPhone app version 3.50 this week. We’ve made the best even better! You’ll notice that pictures are available in the rumors view to make the app more visually appealing. Please keep the feedback coming. We’ll be releasing version 4.00 soon based on your suggestions and if you currently are an owner of this app you’ll get 4.00 as a free upgrade. We’re currently in development now and we hope to release it soon. You can buy the PRO Rumors app version 3.50 for $2.99 at: http://www.itunes.com/apps/prorumors. It is compatible with your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices.

PRO Rumors iPhone app FREE version 3.50:
For those that aren’t ready to make the plunge to the paid app, we’ve submitted the PRO Rumors FREE app version 3.50. It’s currently under review with Apple and we hope to release it any day now. It’s a stripped down version of the PRO Rumors full app. You’ll get the same great PRO Rumors, but you won’t get the historical rumors, push notifications, scores, stats, standings, leaderboards, etc. It’s a great way to get hooked onto PRO Rumors and you can decide if you want to spend the $2.99 for the full version. PRO Rumors FREE will be compatible with your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices.

New servers:
We’re doing a complete rearchitecture of the server farm behind PRO Rumors. As you know we use a combination of technologies from iPhone apps in Objective-C to our stats on Ruby on Rails. We have been getting an increasing number of readers and iPhone users every day and so we’ve made some changes in the background to accommodate the load. You may see a hiccup here and there, but we’ll keep it down to a minimum and we’ll try to do it during off-hours.

HTML5
As you know we have videos on our site. Before yesterday, those with an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch device could not view the videos on the mobile Safari web browser due to Apple’s limitations on Adobe Flash. Moving forward, we have adopted the HTML5 technology to accommodate those users in the non-Flash environment. Many of the videos this month are embedded in HTML5 so you can view them on the go. We’ll continue moving forward with HTML5 and start incorporating it throughout PRO Rumors.
