Update – Houston Astros reach deal with Mike Kvasnick

6/12 20:59: According to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com, the Houston Astros have reached a contract agreement with supplemental draft pick Mike Kvasnicka. Kvasnick, a junior from the University of Minnesota, was taken with the 33rd pick in this week’s MLB draft.
Kvasnicka, a catcher, hit .355 with eight home runs and 50 RBIs in 62 games for Minnesota. The Astros plan to move him to third base with an occasional spot at catcher and the outfield while in the Minor Leagues.
