Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports says the Mariners pitcher Cliff Lee is drawing interest from the Yankees, Cardinals, Reds, Brewers, Rangers, Mets, Dodgers and every “other club with a pulse.”

In today’s article Rosenthal centers around the three teams in the NL Central that could employ Lee: the Cardinals, Reds and Brewers:

Rosenthal says “The Cardinals could put together an incredible rotation if they added the left-handed Lee to right-handers Adam Wainwright and Chris Carpenter and lefty Jaime Garcia.” However, the Cardinals may not have the minor league resources to acquire Lee.

The Reds could offer Triple-A first baseman Yonder Alonso or third baseman Juan Francisco in a trade with the Mariners.

The Brewers are a unique case since they are the former club of Mariners GM Jack Zduriencik. The Brewers are nine game out of the Central, and they would want Lee only to flip hom for younger pitching in a three-way deal. The Brewers could offer the M’s Corey Hart or build a package around third baseman Mat Gamel.
