Chicago White Sox Rumors: Next homestand could define season?
By
Kevin Ware of ESPNChicago.com says that despite the 8.5 game deficit in the American League Central, White Sox GM Kenny Williams insists that he hasn’t set a deadline to make any roster moves.
“I don’t have a deadline,” Williams said . “I just hope that we put together something that resembles a streak of some sort.
“I don’t have a date. I don’t have a deadline. I still believe in these guys and the ability that they have. So we just need to play better and more consistent.”
“This is a big, big, big homestand for us,” manager Ozzie Guillen said. “We’re spending like a month in Chicago. It’s a big homestand, hopefully we play well. This homestand we are going to show the fans, Kenny [Williams], Rick [Hahn] and Jerry [Reinsdorf] how good we are or how bad we are. Then they can start making decisions. I think to me, we got to see if we are going to add or subtract people.”
There has been rumors that Mark Buehrle, Paul Konerko, and A.J. Pierzynski could be moved as soon as this month.
