By6/13 01:37: Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe adds that the only player that seems to be untouchable is Justin Upton. He says to watch the Diamondbacks at the trading deadline. Trade candidates include Dan Haren, Chris Young, Kelly Johnson, Mark Reynolds, Edwin Jackson and Adam LaRoche.
6/11 15:26: Jon Heyman of Sports Illustrated says the Arizona Diamondbacks executives met much of Thursday and Friday to discuss the state of the team. The teams poor 2010 could mean changes to it’s existing structure. Some changes include:
- Firing manager A.J. Hinch.

“We have a great group here and we’re frustrated with the results,” GM Josh Byrnes said by telephone. “One thing we have to consider is trades based on the results.”
Trade candidates include Dan Haren, Kelly Johnson and Adam LaRoche. Many of the other players on the team have affordable contracts that the D-backs can build around and there is not apparent upside to trading those players.
Last week, managing general gartner Ken Kendrick says all areas of the organization are under review – including GM Josh Byrnes on down to the players.
